    Dr. Chris Gambill

    Dr. Chris Gambill

    Director

    Dr. Chris Gambill has been with the Center for Congregational Health since its beginning in 1992 and currently directs the Center’s work. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University (B.A.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Capella University (Ph.D.). Chris received certification as an Intentional Interim Minister through the Center for Congregational Health®. He has previously been Sr. Consultant at the Center, and is a Board Certified Coach. Chris is also an ordained Baptist minister and has served previously as a pastor, interim pastor and as a campus minister at UNC-Charlotte, NC State University, and Appalachian State University. He and his wife Joy also served as student workers in Taiwan, Republic of China. He has extensive experience helping individuals and groups in managing interpersonal and intergroup conflict; developing capacity and skill in utilizing emotional intelligence; creating participative processes for strategic planning; facilitating staff team development; improving job performance; developing effective communication and dialogue processes; and providing individual and team leadership coaching.

    Administrative Coordinator

    Dawn Hall is the Administrative Coordinator and is a graduate of Forsyth Technical Community College with an associate in applied science degree in office administration. Her primary responsibilities are in the area of finance and business office operations.

    Consulting and Coaching Ministries Coordinator

    Beth Kennett is a United Church of Christ minister, and a graduate of Southeastern Seminary (MDiv). Beth coordinates the consulting and coaching ministries. Beth also has expertise in transitional issues, team building, conflict management, and coaching.
    Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Morgan

    Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Morgan

    Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Morgan is the Interim Senior Pastor at St. John Evangelical United Church of Christ in Collinsville, IL. Dr. Morgan, a Certified Intentional Interim Minister (IIM) and Church Consultant, has served as a UCC pastor and interim pastor for 50 years, in NC, NY, GA, TN and IL. During this same period, he also served as Director of the Atlanta Police Dept.’s Chaplaincy Program, a Fulton County government chaplain, a theological school faculty member/administrator and as a community organizer with the UFCW’s Justice@Smithfield Campaign. He is currently serving the 900 member St. John EUCC congregation, located about 12 northeast of St. Louis, MO. Marvin is married to Mae T. Morgan, MD. They are the proud parents of 4 adult children and have 6 grandchildren.
    Rev. Dr. Charity Roberson

    Rev. Dr. Charity Roberson

    Rev. Dr. Charity Roberson has been working with The Center for Congregational Health since 2011 . Along with serving as a coach and consultant, she serves as our Project Consultant of The Thriving Congregations grant.  Charity is an ICF certified coach who received her training at Coaches Training Institute. Along with twelve years of coaching experience, she is also a trained and certified Congregational Coach and Church Consultant. Charity is called to help individuals and organizations discern who God created and gifted them to be and live that out intentionally.

    She lives in Clayton, NC where she serves in multi-vocational ministry. Her previous experience includes serving in denominational ministry, a pastor, a campus minister, an author, and even as a middle school science teacher.

    Anne Tambling

    Anne Tambling

    Anne Tambling is a Program Consultant for The Center. She is a native of Winston-Salem and holds a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University School of Divinity, with 15 years of strategic planning experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit realms. She has also received certification as an Intentional Interim Minister from the Center for Congregational Health®. Anne’s expertise lies in mission and vision creation and long-term strategic planning, program development, personnel transitions, and course curriculum development. She lives in Winston-Salem, and has 3 adult children.
