What's Next Retreat
A Retreat for Discerning Next Steps in Vocation for Mid-Career Clergy
God's call is both enduring and dynamic. A call to ministry brought you to this point in your vocational journey and God's call will lead you forward. To remain effective and faithful, it is essential for ministers to keep asking the question, "What is God calling me to do now?" Mid-career/mid-life is a time when adults naturally assess where they have been and where they are going. The goal of the What's Next? retreat is to help clergy better understand themselves, their God-given strengths and abilities, and to identify ways they can apply these within the context of calling.
The What's Next? retreat offers clergy a safe place to explore God's continuing call using a state of the art assessment tool-the WorkPlace Big Five Personality Inventory. The WorkPlace Big Five is based upon the new standard for understanding human personality-the Five Factor model. Each participant will receive an individual profile report along with an additional personalized Career Guider report. The Career Guider is a special report based on the Big Five with specific feedback and guidance for applying God-given strengths and abilities to various kinds of work. The retreat will also offer opportunities for individual coaching and conversation, rest, reflection, and recreation among the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Site information
The retreat will be held at the St. Malo Retreat Center in Allenspark, Colorado (12 Miles South of Rocky Mountains National Park entrance at Estes Park). St. Malo is a modern, comfortable facility located on 160-acres of wooded property, just to the east of Rocky Mountain National Park.
