This event will be held at the Family Resource Center on the campus of the Baptist Children's Homes of NC in Thomasville, NC. We will begin at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 25 and end at 11:45 am on Wednesday, August 27, 2008.

Tuition is $400 (Lutheran ministers in North Carolina will receive $250 scholarship from the NC Lutheran Synod) Single housing and meals is $155 and commuter cost (meals only) is $60.

This event will be held at Riverchase Baptist Church (2020 Crossvine Rd) in Birmingham, AL on September 15-17, 2008.

Tuition is $250. Pastors affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention will receive a $150 scholarship provided by the ABSC.

Housing and meals are the responsibility of the participant. Suggested housing locations:

This event will be held at the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. We will begin on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 3:00 pm and end on Friday, October 10th at 12:00 pm.

This event is co-sponsored by the Interim Ministry Network. Members of the Network will receive a $100 discount on tuition. Tuition for all other participants is $1,040.00. Single room and meals for all participants is $470. Fieldwork Tuition for all participants is $300.00.

All sessions will be held at the Avila Retreat Center in Durham, NC. Participants must be able to attend all retreats and day sessions.

Tuition for all retreats and day sessions is $765. Single room housing and meals for all retreats and day sessions is $460. A deposit of $100 is required when application is submitted. This deposit is refundable through May 9, 2008 if participant needs to withdraw or their application is not accepted.

Because of the interactive nature of the program, it will be limited to 12 participants. Our experience is that participants benefit from at least five years of pastoral experience as well as having done readings and workshops in the area of spirituality before beginning this program. This program is open to ministers of any Christian denomination. The application deadline is May 9, 2008.

 The Schedule

Phase 1 – The Foundation

Purpose:  Developing a common language and frame of reference for the spiritual life.

Activities:

· Selected readings and periodic one-page reflection papers

· A visit from one of the leaders

 Activities will take place from August to December 2008

 Retreat 1 October 20-21, 2008

Phase 2 – The Practice

Purpose: The opportunity for gaining a firm grasp of what it means for the pastor to function as spiritual guide and the opportunity to go deeper in one’s spiritual life. These purposes will be achieved through presentations, spiritual exercises, silence, and worship.

This event will be held on the campus of Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. We will begin on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm and end on Wednesday, February 11th at 12:00 pm.

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowships is the co-sponsor of this event. CBF affiliated ministers will receive a $100 discount.

Housing is the responsibility of the participant. We suggest the Comfort Suites-Northlake (770-496-1070 ask for the CBF rate). Meals will be provided by CBF.

This event will be held at Camp Paron in Paron, Arkansas. We will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 and end at 5:15 pm on Wednesday, February 18th.

Tuition for this event is $300. The Arkansas Baptist State Convention will offer $100 scholarship to any Arkansas Baptist pastor. Single housing and meals is $80; double room (sharing a room with another participant) and meals is $60; and commuters (meals only) is $40.

This event will be held at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center in Lynchburg, VA. We will begin on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:00 pm and end on Wednesday, March 4th at 11:45 am.

Virginia Baptist ministers will receive $100 scholarship. Tuition for all other participants is $300. Single housing and meals is $195. Commuter (meals only) is $70.

This event will be held at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center in Lynchburg, VA. We will begin on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm and end on Friday, April 17th at 11:45 am.

This event will have limited scholarships available for Virginia Baptist Mission Boad affiliated pastors. Tuition for this event is $800. Single room and meals is $385. Commuter (meals only) is $130.

This event will be held at Camp Paron, in Paron Arkansas. We will begin at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 27, 2009 and end at 11:30 am on Friday, May 1st.

Tutition for this event is $265. The Arkansas Baptist State Convention will offer a $100 scholarship to any Arkansas Baptist pastor. Single housing and meals is and additional $265; a double room (sharing a room with another participant) and meals is $190; commuter cost (meals only) is $100.

Fieldwork tuition is $265. The Arkansas Baptist State Convention will offer an addtional $100 scholarship to any Arkansas Baptist pastor. The dates for the fieldwork teleconferences will be set during the Residential Lab portion of the training to accomodate each participants schedule.
